Education class

Alright everyone, we had our education class yesterday. There were about 10 girls that showed up to it. Another girl and i walked in late, (we were the only two in the insurance wing, so we were both told the wrong time) and basically missed the whole class and all the paper work. So after everyone left we were still doing all the paperwork and found out we both have the same midwife, and all. The nurse helping us was so nice, she did the whole slide show and about a million times the info for just us two. It was a lot more personal and informative. We also were told a bunch of stories and stuff about our midwife, all the same good things we keep hearing from others in the hospital. All in all it was truly a blessing we were late and got to do the class just us two.

Te best part of the whole day, besides getting an app., was as we were leaving the nurse told us to gets lots of sleep, and i made a joke on the lines of were going home now and sleeping b/c its so early and we work nights. So a conversation opens up about where we work. I told her all about ihop, not saying the name, and how its 24/7 so we are on the night shift of the prayer room. And surprisingly the nurse blurted out "IHOP?!?". I told her yeah and she knew all about it and how a bunch of people from her church have gone and love it. So now she is going to come check it out now that she knows someone!!! YAY The girl that was in there was so surprised and a strong christian as well. It was such an open door! AMEN

Our first official app. is March 3rd. Ill be finishing up my first trimester, which seems like a long time to wait to just get checked up but oh well. Were excited and love the hospital (at least the area we are in..haha) As i have said before i will update more on me and baby, later. maybe with a picture or two!! Its amazingly scary how much my body has changed!!!
Leave a comment so i know at least someone is reading this, its boring now but hopefully soon it will get going!! haha

big day of nothing..

So as you know we had our first doctor appt. on the 16th, which i have been looking forward to for about four weeks now...
So we get up around noon, which would be, like, 5amish, get ready and head to the hospital. We get there and its a beautiful place and very clean and not creepy hospitalish. So we wander all around the place going from one person to the other, no one really knows where we should be, then finally find were on the opposite side of the hospital, so we rush to the right side and get checked in.
Here's where it all begins....

So i find out who my Dr. is and wonder if i can switch, for some reason i didnt feel right about it, so i go and ask the receptionist, but really it wasn't a big deal. So i get called back and the nurse tells me that after i have this check up i will NOT be able to get a new Dr. at all. So we talked and she told me that i could swich to this other lady who everyone reccomends, her name is Deb and she is a midwife. All i heard was good things and with the Dr. i was actually scheduled with she was really honest and told me i should swich, if i had any kind of question about it. SO once again thank you hormones, they kick, i get overwhelmed and start crying. haha So i decide to reschedule to a later day, and see Deb. So i pull my self together and go to reschedule and find out i now am required to take an education class, then i will be get scheduled after that.
So we so are going to do this class on Thursday the 19th, and wont get scheduled for our first appt. till around stinkin 12ish weeks!!!

So, all in all it was a rather dissapointing day, but i do feel SO much better about getting a midwife, which is what i wanted in the first place. i guess soon enough i will get this ball rolling as far as check ups and meeting the baby, or seeing the baby... Still about 3 more weeks to the best of my knowledge of where im at.

i will post more later, on the baby's growth and how i am doing, this is more of a vent, sorry.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings...!

Week 8

So I'm going to post for weeks 7 and 8 just b/c we don't exactly know which week we are for sure...
Feb 16th is our first appt. so we will know much more by then!

Week 7:
BABY
Baby is the size of a Blueberry, (which i personally think is a extremely cute)! Baby's brain is growing fast, generating about 100 new cells every minute. Arms and legs are forming as joints start to form!

Week 8:
BABY
Baby is the size of a Raspberry already! Growing about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Even though i can't feel it yet, baby is moving his/her little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy!!! Such a big change in one week!

ME

i feel like i have been running a marathon everyday, and even when i wake up in the morning! I figure that's what they mean by fatigue, but oh man i had NO idea! haha Which i were also doing the night schedule at school and IHOP, (12am-6am) with classes at 10pm.
The queasy/full feeling was still horrible, but the beginning of the week was wonderful, i had free reign over what i ate and everything! It was a wonderful break and so refreshing! now unfortunately, its beginning to come back, slightly, more when i don't eat at the right times. Still no sign of the baby by my outward appearance, i have gained a little bit of weight(which is hopefully water right now) and yes i am already out growing a lot of my shirts in the top half..haha Its amazing how much your body changes SO QUICK!!! I have also lost my mind, with my next post i will give a little insight to this!!!! HAHA

Sorry for the LONG post but thought whoever wants to read it can!! hope you all enjoy! And dont forget to vote on what you think we are going to have....
